If you have ever thought about becoming a parent in Japan, or even are already a parent in Japan, you may have noticed that there is a severe lack of comprehensive, understandable, and easily accessible information regarding all aspects of having children in this country. We made Childcare Japan to help foreign residents find all the information they need to navigate the exciting yet challenging phase of life in Japan that is parenthood. We wanted to make sure everyone had access to fully English resources for everything from pregnancy to primary school. Our continuous work and love for the expat and foreign resident community in Japan was our driving force behind this endeavor, and we continue to strive to do all we can to fill in the gaps that local municipalities and the government leave for its foreign residents.
